Georgia Tech’s Invention Studio and Inventure prize are featured on the White House blog

Prof. Craig Forest receives the Lockheed Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award to recognize outstanding educators in the College of Engineering.

An article entitled,”Automated whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology of neurons in vivo,” has just been accepted at Nature Methods, one of the top journals in the world.  This research involves a pioneering technology — the adoption of robotics into in-vivo neuroscience –that enables the recording and single-cell analysis of neurons in the living brain.    The PBL and the Boyden lab at MIT have been in close collaboration for 2.5 years to make this happen.
